WDW Wait Alerts is an unofficial app for checking Walt Disney World ride wait times and receiving alerts. It is not affiliated with, authorised by, or endorsed by The Walt Disney Company. This policy explains what the app collects, why, and what it does not do.
Your email address, if you create an account. It is used to sign you in and to attach your watchlist and alert settings to you across devices. Browsing wait times needs no account.
Your location, only when you turn a location feature on:
The app requests only foreground location. It does not use background location and cannot track you when you have not opened it or started park mode.
A push notification token, if you enable alerts, so the service can send the alerts you asked for.
Most location readings stay on your device — the “near me” ranking, the directions diagram, and park mode’s fixes are used on the handset and not sent anywhere. When you are signed in, the app tells the backend which park you are in (not your coordinates) so that alerts can be limited to the park you are actually visiting. You can turn this off by not granting location.
Account data, your watchlist, and alert settings are stored on our backend, hosted on Supabase. Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS).
You can ask us to delete your account and everything attached to it at any time, and you do not need the app installed to do so. See the account deletion page for how — in short, email the address below from your sign-up address and we complete it within 30 days. Deleting your account removes your email, watchlist, alert settings, reminders, notification tokens, and the park-location record tied to your account.
The app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their data.
If this policy changes, the date at the top will change with it. Material changes will be noted in the app.
